Moody Law Group Founder John S. Moody, Jr. hosted a Bisnow panel discussion on new technology and its impact on the development and construction industries. “Houston Construction Trends + Innovations: Exploring Today’s On-Site Practices for Sustainability, Efficiency & Future-Proofed Developments” was held Nov. 15 at Post Houston.
At the center of the discussion, new technologies from 3D printing and prefabricated and modular construction to mass timber. But panelists agreed that the biggest impact on construction trends could be from the use of artificial intelligence.
“You have to change the mentality — what’s going to change the momentum,” said Hachem Domloj, president of Design Build firm CIVE. “I believe design and build with an open mind to new technologies and changes.”
