Julie Barry is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and practices extensively in the area of transaction law, focusing primarily on the representation of small and mid-sized enterprises. Her practice includes representation of purchasers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of businesses and real estate; lenders and borrowers in connection with commercial and real estate loans; and landlords and tenants in connection with leasing matters.

Recent Experience

Real Estate Practice:

  • Representation of landlords and tenants in connection with retail, office, industrial, multi-family and mixed-use properties;
  • Representation of owners in real estate purchase and sale transactions and the financing matters relating thereto, in connection with shopping centers, office buildings, raw land, and farm and ranch properties; and
  • Negotiation of construction contracts in a wide range of projects, including industrial developments, medical office buildings, residential properties and tenant improvements.

Commercial Law Practice:

  • Drafting and negotiating documentation relating to mergers and acquisitions;
  • Preparation and negotiation of bank financing documents;
  • Formation of business entities and attending to corporate and company governance matters;
  • Assisting clients with day-to-day operating needs, including structuring, negotiating and drafting financing documentation, supply agreements, licensing agreements, sales and distribution agreements relating to manufactured products and services;
  • Drafting executive employment and compensation agreements, sales representation and consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements and other general employment documents.
